Before treatment we consider carpet type, age, backing, colour stability and the nature of any stains. Cleaning can improve appearance and freshness, but permanent colour loss, wear, bleaching or old damage cannot always be reversed. We explain this before work begins.

The method depends on the carpet

Different fibres and constructions tolerate different levels of moisture, agitation and heat. A pre-inspection helps us choose a sensible method and identify loose seams, damage, shrinkage risk or colour concerns.

Stains need realistic expectations

Food, drink, pet accidents, rust, paint, dye transfer and chemical bleaching behave differently. We can treat many marks, but no responsible cleaner should promise that every stain will disappear. Existing fibre damage may remain visible even when the soil is removed.

Drying time and access

Ventilation, room temperature, carpet density and weather affect drying. Furniture should be moved where agreed, and the cleaned area should have airflow and limited foot traffic until dry.
